Wilwood Brake Pressure Gauge

      Narrow down your braking problems with this Wilwood pressure gauge. Reads 0-1500psi and fits bleeder screw hole on Wilwood, Aerospace, Strange, Outlaw, or AFCO calipers.

      For brakes to work properly you must have enough line pressure for the calipers to provide enough clamping force, typically a minimum of 1000psi.

• If it requires excessive force to create enough pressure, your master cylinder bore could be too big, or with power brakes this could indicate a bad booster.
• If line pressure is good, but slowly bleeds down, it could be a bad seal in the master cylinder if the system was previously working, or air in the lines if it's an all-new system.
• If there's too much pedal travel to create sufficient pressure, your master cylinder bore is too small.
• If line pressure is over 1000psi on both sides, pads are likely glazed causing the problem.
• If line pressure is good at one end and very poor at the other end of the car, there's likely an obstruction in the distribution block.
