Tough question. The hardest part to buy is a rad for an engine like that on the street.

You will definitely want 1-1/4" tubes, double-pass, and then the biggest size you can get in the car. Basically the bigger it is, the less chance you have of overheating in traffic.

Give Afco a call - they often give me sizing advice based on horsepower...

Getting ready to install my 572 fho alluminum Hemi in my challenger.  Still need to purchase the best aluminum radiator for this application.  It's 810hp and about 752tq and I want to make sure it does not run too hot.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I've listened to vendors but I'd like real-time facts from anyone out there.
Thanks in advance.  Scott in Michigan.

Hey Bill, THANKS!
Yes, I am using the World Products aluminum block.  I'll forward this info to Tim Banning, the builder, and get his thoughts.
By the way, did you get my updates on the AlterK display posterboards i'm doing for the challenger.  Things are coming together!
Thanks again,
Scott

Yes, you can not use ANY of the aftermarket pump covers - dont mistake the pump for the cover. All the pumps are the same shape, it is only the cover that causes issue, so a quality pump can be used, but a stock cover must be used with it. For a single line, if you're using a new World block, run the line into the plug in front of the block. If a dual line is desired, add the "Milodon dual-line adapter plate" - Part# 21350. This will go between the pump and block to give you a second fitting towards the front.

If its not a World block and does not have the plug, use the adapter plate to give you a single line that exits towards the front.

The builder will know this, but the adapter plate spaces the pump down 1/2", so you need to use a longer oil pump drive along with it.

The issue is that the hemi mount bolts to the block directly behind the pump, so if any part of the pump cover extends back further than the stock one, it will completely interfere with the mount.

Thanks to my purchase from Bill, I finally got my AlterK set-up installed on my 73 Challenger.  Got everything powder-coated before install and it looks FABULOUS!
ANYWAY, I want to use the Milodon H/V aluminum Oil Pump on my 572 aluminum Hemi but some folks have told me that I MAY HAVE CLEARANCE PROBLEMS with the DRIVER'S SIDE ENGINE MOUNT and where it attaches to the AlterK Mount.
Has anyone experienced this problem?Huh??
I want to use the Milodon pump instead of the OEM Hemi pump, BUT will not do so if there are too many headaches and nightmares arising due to MOUNT Problems.
Tim Banning is doing my HEMI at 'For Hemis Only' and I want to let him know ASAP since my motor is about ready to get the oil pump installed.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!
Thanks, Scott
