A triangulated 4-bar has no horizontal movement by design, so nothing else is needed.

hi there,

i was wondering, if a watt linkage would be a nice upgrade for the 4-lynx rear suspension system?
i am thinking about preventing sideways movement of the rear end while pretty sharp cornering with the car at higher speed...

what do you think about that?
thanx for comments and suggestions!

stefan.

You can use any accessory system with the power rack, as they produce similar flow and pressures.  With a 572, you would probably want something nicer than stock parts, like the March Revolver system, or Billet Specialties system. I prefer the March system personally, as the style is a bit nicer, it's a little cheaper, and it includes a polished water pump and housing.
You can use an integral reservoir-style pump, or the type II pump with a remote reservoir. If you use the remote reservoir style, dont buy the small billet reservoir - it does not have enough capacity to function properly. Use a reservoir from PSC Components - these have internal baffles, larger fluid capacity, and an internal filter. Its the best reservoir you can use.

ok - i've got it figured out, i'll use power steering.

but, which pumps and stuff would you recommend? it's a 68 satellite, which will be equipped with a 572 hemi (indyheads). it has no power steering, so i'll have to buy a needed parts. are there any nice aftermarket setups, that match well with the rms-kit?

thanx for recommendations! :-)

hi,

i am planning on buying a complete suspension kit from you (front and rear) for my 68 satellite (b-body). the car will be equipped with the indy 572 hemi. since the car had no powersteering yet i am not quite sure, whether i want to install a power steering system or just stay with the manual steering.

i want to drive the car mostly on the streets and just sometimes on the dragstrip.

any recommendations from you on that?

Yes, I'd love to see it... that shouldnt have happened, unless it's an odd-shaped pan.... Or, if you're running a Keisler transmission, that will cause your issue too...

The problem was it hitting the front of the sump, instead of spending a ton of money on a new oil pan, I'm going to modify a stock center sump to give it the clearance it needs. It seems to fit when I raise the back of the engine, but that's not how the engine is naturally positioned.

I'll post pics when I'm finished!

Hi Craig. A stock center sump should have cleared - the pans listed here will have the same front floor dimensions as a stock one. Do you have the power rack? How much more clearance do you need to clear the pan? Is it hitting on top, or from the back side? I do have little bushings that can raise the engine 1/4" or lower the rack 1/4", plus the power rack has that little air tube on top that can be moved.

Would any of those things give you enough room?

ok, so 30936 will clear the power rack? I'm just worried because the stock center sump didnt, and this oil pan is $$, lol.

I appreciate the help,
Craig

30936 will.  30941 looks like the bottom front of the sump might touch the rack, it would be close...
